My happy place is an airport. Why, might you ask?

Because it means I am going on an adventure.

Depending on who you are and what our personal relationship is, I’ve got a nickname with many folks and I love each variation just the same. My official name on the birth certificate is Brigid Marie Shivers…I think I may be the only one in the world? I tried to Google that once and from my quick result scan, I am in fact the only one.

I have a tendency to always seek out life’s adventures; I am in awe of almost every new city or town I step foot in and want to live and embrace them all…hence the birth of the hashtag #bitsytravel. I love finding new cafes and sipping iced coffee in both the steaming hot summers and below freezing winter temps, it truly does not matter to me. I don’t know where I’d be without music. I highly enjoy being around children and can create some pretty catchy jingles, just ask me about them (or scroll my Instagram). I just may have created the grooviest tune ever for chicken nuggets.

At the end of the day, I am always trying to learn more about myself and continually grow in the right direction. Most days it feels like one step forward, three steps back…but hey, I am just grateful to be here. Life is hard work, but it’s a beautiful and crazy journey I wouldn’t trade for anything.
